The already fair-skinned Aishwarya Rai looked overly pale on the cover of coveted magazine Elle. Although she looks gorgeous with a beautiful gown and a fashionable hairdo, her skin color makes her look European. Readers are outraged, on the digital bleaching done on her.
One wrote: "It seems like lighter skin is always in fashion, as if darker skin is something to be frowned upon."
Another said "They photoshop and airbrush every freaking cover... every magazine does it."
